Automatic blocking of internet advertising by way of programs or browser add-ons that are easily installed and allow web browsing without the appearance of advertisements or any other kind of publicity. According to Publicis Media, 27.9% of internet users in Spain use some kind of ad blocker in order to avoid viewing advertisements, protect themselves against trackers, improve download speeds, and reduce data usage. The best-known one is the AdBlock add-on by Google.
