Percentage of visitors to a website that achieve the objective set by the person responsible. Serves as an indicator to measure the effectiveness of an advertising strategy and the conversion of web page visitors into customers.
The conversion rate can be affected by multiple factors, such as website design, how intuitive it is to browse, its content, images chosen and its availability, the origin of incoming visitors and how segmented they are, etc. A detailed analysis enables, amongst other things, one to distinguish what type of advertising generates the most appropriate traffic or which pages are the best for placing ads on.
