What is CSS or cascading style sheets?

Language used to create and define the appearance of documents structured using HTML and XHTML. Enables content to be separated from its presentation, thereby improving document accessibility and favouring its correct display on multiple devices.

HTML/XHTML indicate the function of each document element (paragraph, title, list, table…) and the CSS language defines their appearance (colour, size, typeface, separation between elements, page position, etc.).
