What is CMS or Content Management System?

CMS stands for Content Management System.

Interface available via the Internet that enables the owner of a website to simply create, edit and update their content from any computer, with no previous programming knowledge. To facilitate their use, these tools enable different databases containing site content to be administered simultaneously, distinguishing content from design information.

The use of content managers has led to the proliferation of blogs, where users are provided with free templates (the two most frequently used systems are Blogger and Wordpress).
