Platform where registered users can publish and store videos that has acquired a reputation for showing high-quality content. Known as ‘YouTube for professionals’, this platform is favoured by film-makers and audiovisual creators. Vimeo is a pay tool, with options ranging from the Vimeo Basic account (free of charge) to Premium (70 euros / month). With a smaller audience than Youtube, there is no limit on the length of the videos it can store, but there is a size limit. Likewise there is no advertising. In September 2018, the launch of Vimeo Stock was announced, an online video marketplace similar to Getty Images or Shutterstock for the acquisition of exclusive audiovisual material from international creators.
