What is duplicated content?

Content that is published in exactly the same form on more than one website, meaning that it is indexed by Google on more than one URL. Appropriating third-party content is one of the most common causes for Google to penalize a website or a blog. It is also considered to be published content when a website has two identical pages or where two different URLs lead to the same page, as occurs when two domain names redirect to one single website without using a 301 redirect.
